How to pay membership dues? 

Membership dues can be paid online on the Join CGHSA page. There is a $2.00 surcharge for paying online.  If you are unable to pay online, please contact us at

I just moved into the area and the school year has started, can I still join?

Absolutely! Our registration is open year-round. We have members who have joined us all throughout the year. If you join us after December 31, our membership fee drops to $20.

What are benefits to being a member of CGHSA?

As members of the Association,  there are many benefits. Check out our Member Benefits page for more details.

I want to join the Facebook group but I cannot find it. Can you help?

I plan to homeschool when my kids get older but they are still very young. Can I still join?

We are open to all families. We do not have a set age limit on when families can join our group. If you plan on homeschooling in the future and desire to join,  we welcome you. It’s never too early to connect with other homeschool families that can provide encouragement, support and advice on this journey. In addition, for your information some activities/field trips may have an age requirement/grade level in order to participate.

Do you any offer classes?

We do not offer classes. However, there are a few cooperative programs in our area that meet on a weekly basis. Anytime an opportunity is open to our community we will share it with our members. These opportunities may be sports related, community service projects and/or  local extracurricular activities. I have an good idea for a field trip. Can I setup the field trip?

Participation is essential and highly encouraged. If you have an idea for a field trip or know of a program that would interest members of our community, please post to Facebook page. Anyone can setup a field trip.

When is the graduation and promotion ceremony?

Graduation is usually in May, however, the date varies year to year. Once a date is set, members will be notified.

What takes place at graduation and promotion ceremony?

All students who desire to participate will receive a certificates of completion for grade level completed. Kindergarteners and Seniors graduating will walk down the aisle wearing a matching cap and gown.  Diplomas will be presented by parents to the senior graduates. This is a public event, family and friends are welcome to attend the ceremony. Light refreshments are served after ceremony. Details will be provided closer to date.
